Getting there

FireFit is only a 5min drive from Liverpool city centre. Although we have an on site car park, there is limited spaces so please car share where possible.

A parking attendant will be located at the gate of FireFit and will direct you to a parking space on arrival and assist when you leave. Please note that the car park is shared with a fully operational fire station and two local schools, so parking may include an overspill area requiring a very short walk to the Hub.

If you require a parking space, please provide your vehicle registration number and passenger numbers (e.g. DE68 YVD, 2) on the health assessment form highlighted at the start and end of this page, and we will try our best to accommodate.

Do I/we need to be physically fit?

Activities will consist of typical sports day races such as egg and spoon and more. We aim to create an inclusive and accessible event for all. All attendees will be requested to complete the health assessment form below, that will enable them to identify any needs so measures can be planned to ensure the event is accessible for all.

This will also include dietary requirements.

What does your team ticket include?

  • Team of 4 people
  • Arrival refreshments – tea/coffee and fruit
  • Drinks and a buffet at the celebration event after the games at 4pm
  • An afternoon of making memories, team building and networking with 24 businesses from across the North West

Frequently Asked Questions

Although the event is planned to be held outdoors, a contingency plan is in place to move indoors if extreme weather conditions arrive.

Please wear sports appropriate clothes and footwear, but you’re welcome to add some flair! We’ve had teams compete in neon headbands and tutus, whether to distract or for ease of movement — we can't say for sure, but it might just give you that competitive edge!

As the event is covered by a photographer and videographer, it’s also your opportunity if you wish to get your business logos seen if you choose to get branded t-shirts printed.

Changing facilities and lockers are also available.

We recommend a couple of layers, which you can add/remove when warming up/cooling down. You might want to bring along your waterproof jacket/coat, so we’re covered for any rain.

Yes - tea, coffee, water and juice will be available at the event. Additional snacks and drinks can be purchased from Reception.

To keep your energy up for the games, we recommend eating lunch before you arrive. A buffet and a range of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be served afterward at 4pm.

Unfortunately, places are limited, so we’re unable to accommodate additional attendees beyond the ticket allocation.

Photos and videoing during the event

Please note a photographer and videographer will be capturing the event and we will happily share images and videos, so you can re-live the event with family, friends, and colleagues.

If you prefer not to be photographed during the event, please inform a member of staff upon arrival

In addition, Torus Foundation would like to incorporate photos, videos and endorsement information about the Retro Sports Day event in various corporate and publicity materials to help promote the work of Torus Foundation and its charitable purpose. Thank you for helping to support future opportunities. However, If there is an issue regarding participating in photography and filming, you may speak to a member of the events team on the day to ensure you are identified.
